From the Bunkers (week of May 3, 2017)

What a beautiful weekend we had. Perhaps spring has finally sprung. It has been a long winter, but now our thoughts turn to outdoor activities. A quick walk of the golf course shows almost all of the snow is gone.

The course looks to be in great shape and the greens have come out of the winter with very little damage. The grounds crew will be on site this week cleaning up and getting ready for the season. We should be opening the season on Thursday, May 4. We welcome all to come out and get an early start on fine tuning their swing.

Our Golf for Life program is full again this year. It will begin in a few weeks. Junior golf clinics with David Grant and Bruce Nason will start after school lets out. We are hoping to get enough couples to have a league this year. Many other events are being discussed.

The Lakeside Restaurant is back again. We are now open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, for the next few weeks before opening to our regular schedule. Please call Nancy at 694-9494 for reservations.

Come out and see the improvements made to the clubhouse for your enjoyment.
