The cold, wet weather continues to be a recurring theme for baseball and softball squads, with several games getting postponed Wednesday. Some squads, however, braved the elements and managed to get their games in.

Thursday’s slate of baseball and softball games is highlighted by the rivalry matchups between Presque Isle and Caribou at 7 p.m. in Presque Isle.

The Viking baseball team is 0-3 and hasn’t played a game since April 27, while the Wildcats are 2-4 and currently in 12th place in Class B North. The PI softball team is in 11th place with a 2-4 mark and will try to keep the Vikings (0-5) winless on the season.

In other action, Fort Kent makes the trip to Limestone to take on LCS/MSSM at 4:30 p.m.

Southern Aroostook’s scheduled games at Ashland have been postponed, according to SAD 32 Athletic Director Mark Stanley, and a makeup date will be announced later.

There were no tennis matches played Wednesday, but on Thursday, the Caribou teams hope to keep their undefeated seasons alive against the Warriors in Fort Kent at 4 p.m.
