Easton students recognized for athletic participation

EASTON, Maine — Easton Bear athletes were recognized April 25 at the school’s annual athletic awards night held at the elementary school, with varsity club advisor Leslie Carlow and athletic director Steve Shaw serving as the mistress and master of ceremonies.

Carlow and coaches Travis Carter and Cassandra Buck began the evening honoring Paige Lento, who passed away in December and was a special part of the Easton athletic program. Her parents, Peter and Kristina Lento, were presented awards on Paige’s behalf.

Carlow presented certificates to the following junior high girls soccer players: Eva Callioras, Emma Lamoreau, Kaylee Boyce, Austin Cowley, Grace Flewelling, Jenna Cochran, Kayleigh Coy, Amelia Bate, Grace Ellis, Cheyanne Day, Matigan Dow, MaKenzie Kinney, Olivia Keep, Maggee Currie, Kenzie Legassie, Kaitlyn Hurley, Madison Seeley, Rylee Leavitt and Lacey Rideout.

Coaches Bryan Shaw and Buck presented certificates to the following JV girls basketball players: Breann Clayton, Suvana Wilson, Paige Flewelling, Delia Bonner, Delaney Leach, Kassidi Hanson, Lydia Ferris and Cecilia Morin. Manager Summer Guess also received a certificate.

Buck honored members of the junior high girls basketball team with certificates. Team members were Lamoreau, Rideout, Currie, Callioras, Grace Flewelling, Cochran, Coy, Hayley Shannon and McKenah Fox.

Carter recognized members of the junior high boys soccer team with certificates. The team consisted of Kyle Flewelling, Austin Carver, Kody Carter, Paul Bonner, Nathan Quint, Mitchell Flewelling, Camden Michaud, Benjamin Currier, Devin Daniels, Cade Ennis, Corey White, Rylee Chasse, Evan Carver, Dawson Lamoreau, Trey Brewer, Owen Sweeney and Gus Bonner.

Carter also presented certificates to the following junior high boys basketball players: Austin Carver, Quint, Paul Bonner, Kyle Flewelling, Mitchell Flewelling, Michaud, Jadon Ellis, Ennis, Evan Carver, Daniels, Zacharey Mills, Currier, Chasse and Brayden Tompkins.

Varsity cheering coach Jenna Kitchen presented pins to team members Emily Thompson and Shelliese Mullen, while Alexis Pelkey and Wilder Mitchell received letters.

Shaw recognized members of the varsity girls basketball team as follows: bars went to Elise Allen, Sara Gilman and Isabelle Morin; letters and pins to Clayton, Abigail Currier and Wilson; a pin to Casey Lovely; letters to Bonner, Leach, Cecilia Morin and Guess; and certficates to Flewelling, Kassidi Hanson and Lydia Ferris.

Coach Audra Kirk presented girls varsity soccer awards as follows: bars to Allen, Currier, Gilman and Isabelle Morin; a letter and pin to Lovely; pins to Bonner, Guess and Leach; letters to Cecilia Ferris, Ashley Cowley, Lydia Ferris, Hanson, Cecilia Morin and Flewelling; and a certificate to Savannah Guess.

Coach Korrin Patterson presented certificates to the following members of the girls volleyball team: Allen, Currier, Lovely, Gilman, Jenna Perkins, Summer Guess, Cecilia Ferris, Flewelling, Isabelle Morin, Hanson, Samantha Boulier, Cecilia Morin and Lydia Ferris.

Coach Brent Mosher presented certificates to the following members of the boys volleyball team: Michael Brown, Jordan Doody, Jacob Flewelling, Elias Coy, Hunter Brown, Dustin Lacroix, Zachary Hammond, Noah Hanscomb, Ryan West, Keagan Kinney, Collin Sotomayor, Matthew Poole, Alexander Harvath, Christopher Busse and Carson Flewelling.

Coach Ryan Shaw handed out awards to members of the varsity boys soccer team as follow: bars to Michael Brown, Hanscomb, Sotomayor, Jacob Flewelling, Hunter Brown and manager Breann Clayton; letters and pins to Coy and Lacroix; pins to Isaac Currier, West, Keagan Kinney and manager Shelliese Mullen; letters to Gavin Pangburn, Kooper Kinney, Carson Flewelling, Harvath and manager Miranda McLean; and certificates to Matthew Pangburn, Busse, Troy Chasse, Carter, Quint, Michaud, Paul Bonner, Austin Carver, Mitchell Flewelling and Kyle Flewelling.

Coach Manny Martinez honored members of the boys varsity basketball team as follows: bars to Jacob Flewelling and Hunter Brown; letters and pins to Coy, Carter Mazerolle and Michael Brown; pins to Doody, Sotomayor and managers Jenna Perkins and Miranda McLean; a letter to Hanscomb and certificates to Currier, Keagan Kinney, Pangburn, Dawson Haney, Kooper Kinney and West.
Coach Danny Warren presented certificates to the following JV boys basketball players: Currier, Carson Flewelling, Kooper Kinney, Keagan Kinney, Gavin Pangburn, Matthew Pangburn, Harvath, Haney, West and Poole.
