HOULTON, Maine — The National Weather Service will host a “Skywarn Storm Spotter” training session in Houlton at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, at the Houlton Fire Station.
The course is free to the public and will train individuals on how to report large hail, damaging winds, tornadoes and flooding to the National Weather Service. Spotter training teaches individuals how to identify and report severe weather, as well as how to maintain awareness to help keep themselves and others safe in the event of an emergency.
