Presque Isle Wildcats purr on offense in win against Fort Kent

FORT KENT, Maine — The Warriors softball team was unable to pull out its first win, Wednesday, May 17, against the visiting Presque Isle Wildcats.

Fort Kent batters mustered five runs, but the Warriors could not hold back the offensive punch of the Wildcats, who won the game, 15-5.

Kayla Saucier’s grand slam in the first inning gave the Wildcats a great cushion right off the bat. Saucier also had two singles, while teammate Savannah Rodriguez doubled twice and drove in two runs.

Riley Sibley drove in two runs with a single for Fort Kent. Jordan O’Leary added an RBI single for the Warriors, who fell to 0-7 on the season.  Presque Isle improved to 6-6.
