Visiting Wildcats edge past Warriors, 10-9

FORT KENT, Maine — The Warriors baseball team dropped to 3-5 Wednesday, following a close game against the visiting Presque Isle Wildcats. Despite working hard against the Wildcats, who are in Class B-North division, Fort Kent was unable to stop Presque Isle from scoring the winning run in the seventh inning, off of a Jonah Hudson single.

The 10-9 road win improves the Wildcats’ record to an even 6-6.

Nate Michaud’s two-run home run was the game highlight for Class C Fort Kent. Teammates Josh Soucy and Eden Paradis each had two hits and two RBIs.

For Presque Isle, Nick Bartlett knocked in a run with a double and Connor Demerchant smacked three singles on the afternoon.
