The Caribou tennis teams were winners once again on Saturday, this time at home against Ellsworth, and both the boys and girls will try to complete their perfect seasons Tuesday, May 23, in Presque Isle against the Wildcats.
Each team won by 5-0 scores over the Eagles to improve to 11-0. The Viking girls have now won all their matches by 5-0 margins.
On the baseball diamond Monday, May 22, Caribou hosts John Bapst for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. Other baseball/softball games include East Grand at Wisdom at 3:30 p.m.; Southern Aroostook at Hodgdon; Central Aroostook at Limestone-MSSM; Washburn at Ashland; and Madawaska at Fort Fairfield, all beginning at 4 p.m.
In tennis action Monday, May 22, Presque Isle is making up a home match against Houlton beginning at 5:30 p.m. at UMPI.

On the baseball diamond, the Vikings hosted Ellsworth in doubleheaders Saturday and Ellsworth won all four games. The girls scores were 14-7 in the first game and 16-3 in the second. Maddie Doucette and Jaelynn Doody had three hits each for the Vikes (2-10) in the opener, while Emily Adler led the Caribou offense with two hits in the second game. In baseball, the Eagles won by scores of 7-4 and 11-1 as Caribou’s record fell to 1-9.
Houlton recorded a sweep of LCS/MSSM in Limestone. The Shire girls prevailed 10-9, snapping the Eagles’ six-game winning streak. The Houlton baseball team’s winning streak reached 10 games with a 31-3 decision.
The Fort Fairfield baseball team moved to 10-0 after a 10-0 blanking of East Grand Saturday in Fort Fairfield. That same afternoon, the Viking softball team handed the Tigers a 15-11 loss.
On Friday in Danforth, East Grand swept Washburn, 14-4 in baseball and 6-1 in softball. The Beaver squads are still without a victory on the season.

Houlton baseball 4, Orono 3 — At Houlton, Morgan Phillips had an infield single followed by an Orono throwing error in the bottom of the seventh inning which allowed Nick Perfitt to score the game-winning run for Houlton. Isia Bouchard and Cameron Graham registered two hits apiece for the Shiretowners.
For Orono, Jackson Coutts tallied two hits
East Grand 14, Washburn 4 — At Danforth, Sam Plummer went 3-for-4 with two runs scored to lead East Grand to a win. Trevor Noyes collected four hits and drove in four runs and scored two more for the Vikings. Matt Potter added two singles and two runs.
