Robert C. Rossignol Sr.

WOODLAND, Maine — Robert C. Rossignol Sr., 76, passed away May 17, 2017, at his Presque Isle residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Limestone, March 25, 1940, the son of the late Edmund and Helen (Wilcox) Rossignol. Bob was employed as a backhoe operator for Malachi Anderson for several years, then served as the Road Commissioner for the Town of Woodland for 19 years, and then was employed for over 20 years by John Noble.

Bob loved spending time with his family and was an avid motorcycle rider. He is survived by two sons, Robert Rossignol Jr. of Presque Isle and Marvin Rossignol of Woodland. One daughter and son-in-law, Vanesa and Peter Dobson of Caribou. One brother, Dale of Washburn. Three sisters; Mary Butler and husband Robert of Woodland, Phoebe Clayton and husband George of Caribou and Elaine Grant and husband Calvin of Fairfield. Six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rossignol was predeceased by a son and daughter-in-law Allen and Judy Rossignol, his first wife, Lorraine (Anderson) Rossignol, his second wife Joyce (Bubar) Rossignol, a brother Howard, and a sister Shirley Everett and husband Morgan.
A graveside service was held 1:00 p.m. Monday May 22, 2017, at the Woodland Cemetery with Pastor Matt Palmer officiating. Following the services all were invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the Caron Pentecostal Church.
