Marjorie ‘Marge’ Finnemore Sementilli

HICKORY, SC — Marjorie ‘Marge’ Finnemore Sementilli, 92, of Hickory, NC, passed away, Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Trinity Ridge.
Born March 22, 1925, in Caribou, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Mason Finnemore and Hazel Sarah Finnemore.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Sementilli; and a sister, Phyllis Chapman.
Marge liked to cook and travel. She loved the beach and especially living at Little River for 10 years. In her later years she enjoyed winning at bingo and always loved spending time with her family whom she adored.
She is survived by her son, David Mason Sementilli and wife Karen of Georgetown, TX; two daughters: Mary S. Klinger and husband Robert of Hickory, NC, Jane S. Earl and husband John of Hickory, NC; sister, Reta Haley of Caribou, Maine; sister-in-law, Jeanette S. Money of Hickory, NC; two brothers-in-law, Ernie Sementilli of Austin, TX, Benjamin Sementilli of Hartford, CT; 11 grandchildren: Christopher Sementilli, Kara Temprovich, Jon Sementilli, Robert Klinger, Jr., Heather Klinger Warren, Janie Mullis Farwell, Jeffrey Mullis, Elissa Earl Harrell, Adam Earl, Anna Earl Carsner and Emily Earl Freeman; and 25 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Tryggvi Arnason officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658 or to St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Memorial Garden Fund, 130 39th Ave. Pl., NW, Hickory, NC 28601.
The family wants to express their deep appreciation to the staff and friends of Trinity Ridge and Catawba Regional Hospice for their loving care. They are also grateful for the pastoral care given by St. Aloysius.
