Mapleton plans mother-daughter tea

The Haystack Historical Society of Mapleton will hold its annual mother-daughter tea at the museum on Saturday, June 3, 2017.

Mothers and daughters, as well as grandmothers and granddaughters, are invited to enjoy a luncheon of sandwiches, fruits and sweets, as well as to explore the museum, which houses a number of historical items and artifacts from the towns of Mapleton, Castle Hill and Chapman. 

Lisa Shepherd of New Hampshire will return to lead a craft workshop.

The cost is $10 per adult and free to all children attending with their mothers or grandmothers.  To reserve a seat, call Alice Shepherd at 769-6431 or Myrna Gardner at 764-0290.

The society’s next event is its annual homemade pie and coffee sale held June 24 during Mapleton Daze from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  

Mapleton Seniors Food Sale

The Mapleton, Chapman and Castle Hill Seniors’ last meeting before summer break is this coming Monday, June 4, 2017.  The meeting will be at the Mapleton United Methodist Church and will be the usual potluck lunch starting at 11:30 a.m.  

All are welcome; bring a dish to share and a place setting. A special activity will occur following the brief meeting after lunch.  

Meetings will resume on the first Monday in October.  

 

Father’s Day Breakfast

The Chapman Ridge Runners Snowmobile and ATV Club will host a meeting of members and other volunteers Wednesday, May 31, at 6:30 p.m. at the clubhouse for those interested/involved with the Father’s Day breakfast to be held on June 18.
