ROXANNE DYKEMAN RAYNES HOULTON – Roxanne Dykeman Raynes, 53, passed away May 20th, 2017, at home after a long battle with COPD. Roxanne was born in Canada and spent most of her life in Houlton.
She graduated from Houlton High School and attended UMPI. She enjoyed volleyball, being a cheerleader, puzzles, softball, books, coffee, long rides, hanging out with family and friends, the lake, holidays, chocolate, BBQ’s and as she put it “those in the circle of her life”. She took pride in her ability and want to help others. Prior to moving home, Roxanne helped a dear friend in Largo, Florida, run the local food pantry. Many friends and family have verbalized over the years how she has taken in others and helped them to cope with hard times. Living and growing up in the county she spent many days at the potato house, on the harvester and she also was part owner and operator of the Shiretown Bakery and coffee shop for many years. She will be missed.
She leaves behind her two beloved furry friends, 13-year-old Hobbes and three-year-old Myrrh as well as many friends and family. Please know she appreciated each and every one of you. On June 3rd at Nickerson Lake there will be a tree planting in her memory at 4:20 p.m. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.
