LIMESTONE, Maine —The Robert A. Frost Memorial Library in Limestone announces the receipt of a $400 grant from the Rose and Samuel Rudman Library Trust.
These funds are being used toward books for the Library’s Summer Reading Program, scheduled for the week of July 17-21, 2017, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and for a Mad Science of Maine show on July 6, 2017, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The Rose and Samuel Rudman Library Trust provides grants to libraries serving communities in northern and eastern Maine with populations of less than 10,000.
Every summer the library participates in the Collaborative Summer Library Program. This year’s theme is Build A Better World. In addition to the Mad Science kickoff event, the library is planning a Touch-A-Truck Day, Construction Zone, a recycle day, a day with senses, and an Animal Gross-Out Day with a visit from The Aroostook Wildlife Refuge.
Children can sign up for summer reading during the Library’s Children’s Ice Cream Social on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 3 to 4 p.m.
