MAPLETON, Maine — The Towns of Mapleton, Castle Hill and Chapman have announced that Theresa Denbow has successfully completed the process of becoming a certified Treasurer through the Maine Municipal Tax Collectors’ and Treasurers’ Association.

David Dionne, town manager of Mapleton, Castle Hill and Chapman, said Denbow’s hard work and dedication took several hours and led to her new designation.

The MMTCTA states that out of their 700 members statewide, only one-quarter of the members actually complete the certification program.

Denbow began working for the tri-town area in 2010 and eventually became the towns’ treasurer in 2014.

“I think this certification is par for the course for Theresa, just another example of her willingness to be the best she can be in her job,” Dionne said. “Since I started working here she has shown her professionalism and skill every day and is always a team player. She always seems to be working hard on her many projects and tasks she is assigned.”

Dionne added, “We are lucky to have such a great example serving the communities of Mapleton, Castle Hill and Chapman.”
