Penobscot Valley Conference all-stars and all-academic team members were announced by league officials Wednesday and several athletes from Caribou, Houlton and Presque Isle were recognized.
For PVC small schools, making the girls’ first team were Caribou’s Emma Belyea (1,600-meter racewalk) and Paige Espling (300-meter hurdles). Qualifying for the second team were: Houlton’s Amelia Hanning (200-meter dash) and Caribou’s Meagan Dube (400-meter dash), Abigail Wimmer (3,200-meter run), Willow Whitten (300-meter hurdles), Kendra Furber (pole vault), Mariah Mink (triple jump), Abigail Espling (shot put), Jojo Fields (100-meter hurdles), the 4×100-meter relay team of Dube, Sheridan Blackstone, Rachel Ring and Fields, and the 4×800-meter relay team of Alexis Rodriguez, Katrina Salch, Maren Moir and Madeline Gudde.
Caribou’s Evan Michaud (pole vault) made the boys’ small school first team. Making the second team were: Houlton’s Isaiah Brown (1,600 and 3,200-meter runs) and Timothy Glatter (javelin) and Caribou’s Bryce Coffin and Nic Alfaro (1,600-meter race walk), Cory Jandreau (pole vault), Apollo Grondin (110-meter hurdles), the 4×100-meter relay team of Jandreau, Liam McMillon, Andre Rossignol and Michaud, and the 4×800-meter relay team of Calvin Mokler, Evan Desmond, Kyle Boucher and Dylan Marrero.

In the girls’ large school category, Tori Koch of Presque Isle made the first team in the 400 and the second team in the long jump. Madelyn Wing of the Wildcats also made the second team in the javelin.
For the boys, Owen McQuarrie of PI was named to the second team in the 1,600-meter race walk and the Wildcats’ 4×400-meter relay team of Chan Villatora, Jason Dumais, Kyler Caron and Trace Cyr also made the second team.
Several athletes made the all-academic team, which is for seniors with seven semesters carrying a grade point average of 90 or better. Caribou Vikings on the team are Furber, Erin Kashian, Gudde, Belyea, Alfaro and Rossignol. Koch was the lone representative from Presque Isle. Houlton athletes recognized were: Chloe Davis, Hannah Foley, Mackenzie Hunt, Rylee Warman, Olivia White, Kate Newman, Brown and Glatter.
