for three Mapleton crowns

    MAPLETON – Twelve beautiful contestants will vie for three Mapleton titles this Saturday, April 10 at 7 p.m. at the Presque Isle High School Auditorium. 2009 Miss Mapleton Paige McEachern and 2009 Junior Miss Mapleton Hannah Stoutamyer will be joining these young ladies as they take center stage in ‘70s style. 

    This year’s pageant is sponsored by the student organizations at the Presque Isle Regional Career and Technical Center at Presque Isle High School – SkillsUSA, FFA and FBLA. The money raised from the pageant will go to community service projects that the students are working on.
    The students from the groups, as well as the advisers, along with Jolene Kinney as director, have been working together to bring the ‘70s back again.
    Tickets can be purchased at the door or from any contestant for $6. There is also a combination tickets available for $10 which will allow the ticket holder admission to the Little Miss and Pre-Teen Miss Pageant at 2 p.m., as well as the Junior Miss, Teen Miss and Miss Pageant in the evening.
    Contestants competing for the title of Junior Miss Mapleton 2010 are as follows:
    • Cassandra Buck, daughter of Andy and Angela Buck, will be singing.
    • Naomi McEachern, daughter of Bruce McEachern and Pamela McEachern, will be performing a monologue.
    • Michaela Dube, daughter of Valerie Black and Michael Dube, will be singing.
    • Elena Ford, daughter of Hank and Helena Ford, will be performing a lyrical dance.
    • Emma Langille, daughter of Carroll and Jennifer Langille, will be performing a tap/hip hop dance.
    • Stephanie Winslow, daughter of Willie and Nancy Winslow, will be performing a flute solo.
    • Hannah Guerrette, daughter of Gary Guerrette and Carl and Kim Michaud, will be performing a jazz dance.
    Contestants competing for the first-ever Teen Miss Mapleton are as follows:
    • Michaela Powers, daughter of Joe and Sue Powers, will be performing an en pointe ballet routine.
    • Sarah McEachern, daughter of Pamela McEachern and Bruce McEachern, will be clogging.
    • Kali Warner, daughter of Michael and Tina Warner, will be singing.
    • Kathryn Sharp, daughter of Daniel and Linda Sharp, will be singing.
    In the Miss Pageant, Whitney LaPointe, daughter of Bryan and Tanya LaPointe, will be dancing.

    THREE NEW MAPLETON QUEENS will be crowned Saturday, April 10 at the Presque Isle High School Auditorium at 7 p.m. Junior Miss, Miss, and newly added title of Teen Miss Mapleton will all be named at this weekend’s pageant. Contestants competing, along with the reigning queens are, front row, from left: Michaela Powers, Michaela Dube, Stephanie Winslow and Whitney LaPointe. Back row: 2009 Junior Miss Mapleton Hannah Stoutamyer, Emma Langille, Cassandra Buck, Kathryn Sharp, Sarah McEachern, Elena Ford, Naomi McEachern, Kali Warner, Hannah Guerrette and 2009 Miss Mapleton Paige McEachern. Tickets are $6 each and can be purchased from any contestant or at the door.
