To the Editor:
A big “thank you” to all the businesses and individuals in Aroostook County who donated to the Disabled American Veterans and Auxiliary auction. The auction was held Saturday, May 6, in Bangor at our state convention.
The items auctioned off were a great boost to help the Disabled American Veterans programs and projects in your community. Your commitment as a community that cares proves its worth to the men and women who sacrificed so much.
The money raised will return to Aroostook County to help promote comfort to our disabled veterans, support activities and outings for our veterans and their families, and most importantly, provide a quality of life and dignity to those who served our country.
Again, thank you from all the chapters and units within your district for your support.
