Pre-Teen and Teen Miss PI Pageant
set for Saturday
Presque Isle will soon have two new queens to represent their town in the upcoming Potato Blossom Pageants in Fort Fairfield. On Saturday, May 1st at 7PM family and friends will fill the Presque Isle High School auditorium to cheer on their favorites for the titles of 2010 Pre-Teen Miss and 2010 Teen Miss Presque Isle. This year, the pageant is being sponsored by the PIHS Class of 2012, under Class Adviser Mindy Bell.
Competing in the Pre-Teen division are:
Mayce Kinney, the 9-year-old daughter of Jirad and Kim Kinney will be singing “God Bless the USA” for her talent selection.
Abigail Shaw, the 10-year-old daughter of Andy and Amanda Shaw will be singing “The Climb” during the talent competition.
Yessenia Vilar, the 10-year-old daughter of Jason and Jasmine Cote will be clogging to “Naturally” by Selena Gomez.
Emily Poitras, the 9-year-old daughter of Brian and Kathy Poitras will be dancing to “Too Cool” for her talent selection.
Madison Bearden, the 10-year-old daughter of Jeff and Kathy Bearden will be performing a dance en pointe to “Scientist” by Coldplay.
Victoria Williamson, the 10-year-old daughter of Theodore and Marla Williamson will be dancing to “What a Wonderful World” during the talent competition.
Miranda Drost, the 9-year-old daughter of John Drost and Bobby Pelkey and will be dancing to “Butterfly Fly Away.”
The four young ladies vying for the title of Teen Miss Presque Isle are:
Hanna Patterson, the 16-year-old daughter of Derrick Kinney and Ariana Patterson has chosen to perform a self-choreographed dance routine en pointe to “Glitter in the Air.”
Rebecca Maxwell, the 14-year-old daughter of Del Maxwell and Clarina and Albert Nadeau will be presenting a vocal selection, “I Never Told You” by Colbie Caillat.
Alecia daCruz, the 16-year-old daughter of Carlos and Suzette daCruz will be performing a hip hop/jazz dance routine to “Do You Remember?” by Jay Sean.
Erica Hemphill, the 16-year-old daughter of Eric and Kelly Hemphill will be presenting a classical dance en pointe to “Woods” by George Winston for her talent selection.
Also performing during the evening pageant will be the 2009 Pre-Teen Miss Presque Isle, Lydia Patterson, 2009 Teen Miss Presque Isle, Emily Wright and a few other newly crowned local queens. Tickets are available for $7 from any of the contestants and can also be purchased at the door.
