DSA to hold tryouts
Tryouts for three Dutch Soccer Academy United Travel Teams will be held Sunday, May 2 at the Caribou High School field.
DSA will select three competitive teams with Aroostook County students: U-10 Boys (date of birth must not be on or before July 31, 1999), U-12 Boys (date of birth must not be on or before July 31, 1997) and U-10 Girls (date of birth must not be on or before July 31, 1999). Those trying out must bring a copy of their birth certificate.
The tryout times are 1-2:15 p.m. for U-10 boys, 2:15-3:45 p.m. for U-12 boys and 3:45-5 p.m. for U-10 girls.
There is no fee for trying out. Students who are selected for the DSA Travel Teams will compete as follows:
Saturday, May 15 or Sunday, May 16: Boys teams will play two games in Bangor. Exact date/time to be announced. Girls games are also to be announced.
Saturday May 29: U-10 and U-12 boys tournament in Augusta.
Sunday May 30: U-10 girls tournament in Augusta.
Teams will also practice on Sunday, May 9 and Sunday, May 23 at Caribou High School.
