Horror film seminar

    PRESQUE ISLE — The final Faculty Noon Seminar of the spring semester will be offered from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, April 29, in the Normal Hall Faculty Lounge, as Professor of English Dr. Ray Rice presents “Capitalism and Schizophrenia: Or Why Zombies are Radicals and Vampires are Neo-cons.”Campus and community are encouraged to bring a lunch and join in the discussion. For more information, contact Dr. Lynn Eldershaw at 768-9749.

 
Closing reception

    A closing reception for a ceramics exhibit by art students at the University of Maine at Presque Isle will be held on Friday, April 30, starting at 5 p.m. at 450 Main St. in Presque Isle, the location where the Project Compass Ceramics Show exhibition has been on display throughout the month of April. Each student chose a Native American tribe and story from a selected tribe, which they depicted on the surface of ceramic vessels. Members of the community are invited to view the works and meet the student artists who created them as part of a Project Compass mini-grant.
