Penobscot Valley Conference officials have announced the baseball and softball all-conference and all-academic teams in Class B.
Presque Isle’s R.J Gross and Nick Bartlett were named to the Class B second team in baseball, while Savannah Rodriguez of Presque Isle and Maddie Doucette of Caribou both earned berths on the Class B softball second team.
Three Caribou softball players made the all-academic team — Doucette, Katelyn Clark and Rachel Soucy.
Zach Nash of Hermon was picked both pitcher of the year and baseball player of the year. His coach, Matt Kinney, was named coach of the year.
McKenna Smith of Old Town swept the player of the year and pitcher of the year awards in softball. Jenn Plourde, coach of the Coyotes, claimed coach of the year honors.
PVC Class B includes Presque Isle, Caribou, Old Town, Hermon, Ellsworth, Mount Desert Island, John Bapst and Foxcroft Academy.
