U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Dakota Gramour, a Houlton native, has been awarded a summer internship in her Washington, D.C., office.

Gramour, who previously interned in Collins’ Caribou office, is the son of Lance Gramour and Johnna Fleming of Houlton and Calais, respectively. “Dakota is a terrific student, and he did an excellent job as an intern in my Caribou office. I am delighted to welcome him to Washington, D.C.,” said Collins. “It is always an honor to give students the opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and to serve the citizens of Maine.” Gramour attends the University of Maine, Orono, where he is majoring in both history and international affairs. Upon graduation, he intends to pursue an advanced degree with the goal of becoming a teacher or professor.
