Erin Elizabeth Dwyer and John Llewellyn Hoffses were joined in marriage on June 17, 2006 at the Hoffses family farm in Castle Hill surrounded by friends and family members from near and far. Erin is the daughter of Jim and Rosalie Dwyer of Presque Isle. John is the son of Richard (Buddy) and Belinda Hoffses of Mapleton.
John and Erin both graduated from Presque Isle High School in 2002. John received his degree in plumbing and heating from Northern Maine Community College in 2004 and is employed by Kevin Tompkins’ Plumbing & Heating.
Erin graduated from the University of Maine at Presque Isle in 2006 with a degree in elementary education with an English concentration. She is employed by SAD 45 in Washburn.
Erin’s maid of honor was Samantha Cousins, and her attendants were Bobbie-Jo Caron, Janna Johnson, Kristi Fitzpatrick, Courtney Hoffses, Brittany Caron, Stacia Caron and Madalyn Caron.
John’s best man was BJ Estey, and his groomsmen were Marc Dwyer, Nathanial Weeks, Matthew Blodgett, Mitchell Blodgett and Robbie Hoffses.
Tammy Getchell served as officiant.
Carin Silkaitis, cousin of the bride, presented a reading. Matthew Frazao, cousin of the bride, and his friend Kyung-Mi Lee, both graduates of the Peabody Music Conservatory, played classical guitar and flute before, during and immediately following the ceremony.
The wedding reception was held at the Presque Isle Inn and Convention Center.
Following a honeymoon in New Hampshire, the couple settled into their home in Mapleton.
