WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Angus King (I-Maine) announced Monday, June 26, that he has hired Presque Isle native Jordyn Madore as a constituent service representative in his Presque Isle office.
In her new role, Madore will work with King and constituents in Aroostook County to answer questions, locate resources and address problems relating to federal government agencies.
“I am thrilled to welcome Jordyn to our team,” King said. “Her breadth of experience working on behalf of her community and the people of Aroostook County makes her a tremendous asset to this office. I know Jordyn’s hard work will help provide critical resources to people in the County and across the state.”
“I’ve always been passionate about serving my community and Senator King’s office provides a unique opportunity to help people across Aroostook County,” Madore said. “I look forward to supporting northern Maine’s tightknit communities and am excited for the work that lies ahead.”
Madore, a graduate of Presque Isle High School, holds a degree in special education from the University of Maine at Farmington and a degree in elementary education from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. She has worked with numerous groups to support special-needs children and their families, and most recently worked at Aroostook Aspirations Initiative, a County-based nonprofit that works primarily with first-generation college students to ensure both educational and career success.
In her spare time, Madore is a member of the Rotary Club of Presque Isle, currently serving as co-chair of their Youth Services Committee, and volunteers her time with several other local committees.
