The golfing has been great this week at Houlton Community Golf Course. Yes we had a little dampness, but let’s face it, we needed the rain. The course was a little dry and welcomed
the drink. The golf course is in excellent condition with greens running true and brilliant green.
Sunday we held the first scramble tournament this year for our Golf for Life players and club members. It was well attended by over 65 players with teams drawn from all players signed up. After golf we all enjoyed some tasty hors d’oeuvres and drinks while we rehashed the rounds. First place went to the fivesome of Barb and Larry Tonzi, Randy, Brent, and Theresa Lincoln, shooting a four under par 32. Congratulations to the winning team. From all reports everyone had a great time and new friendships were begun.
