ELMER G. CLARK, HOULTON – Elmer G. Clark, 77, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017, at a Houlton long term care facility. He was born February 21, 1940, in Ludlow, the son of Charles and Mildred (Green) Clark.
Elmer grew up in Ludlow and graduated from Ricker Classical Institute. He then joined the U.S. Army and served for several years. He was a longtime driver for Houlton Cab Inc. He loved cars and could tell the make and model of a vehicle by looking at the taillights.
He is survived by his wife Bertha (Sabattis) Clark of Houlton, a daughter Mary Johnson, a stepson Chris Richardson of New Limerick, a brother Lawrence Clark and his wife Margaret of Ludlow, many nieces and nephews and his favorite cat “Little One.” In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four siblings, Clifford Clark, Mary McSheffery, Amy Estabrook, and Rowena Theriault.
Friends called 12 noon Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Dunn Funeral Home, where a service was conducted at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Dennis Ashley officiating. Interment with prayers of committal took place at the Maliseet Tribal Cemetery, Houlton.
