Weather finally cooperates for kart racing

CARIBOU, Maine — Following consecutive rainouts, the Northern Maine Karting Series held a doubleheader race night on Friday, June 30, at Spud Speedway. 

Parker Bosse of Limestone pulled out a pair of wins in the kids kart race, with Kayden Haines of Caribou following.

In the junior cage division, Bryan Searles of Presque Isle also prevailed twice. Gage Theriault of Limestone came in second place in each competition, with Ronnie Lynn Kelly placing third in the first feature race.

Damian Theriault of Caribou came through with two victories in the senior cage division. Jason Theriault of Caribou and Tom Hale of Westmanland were second and third, respectively, in both features.

Races are held Fridays at 6:30 p.m. Grandstand viewing is free and access to the pits is offered for $10.
