LEAD, APP plan annual meeting

PRESQUE ISLE — Officials with Aroostook Partnership for Progress (APP) and Leaders Encouraging Aroostook Development (LEAD) are busy planning their annual meeting, scheduled for Friday, June 11, beginning with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at the Northeastland Hotel.
Topics of this year’s gathering will be Mobilize Maine (Aroostook) as well as presentation of business appreciation awards.
“Plan on attending this informative and important meeting,” said Walt Elish, APP president and CEO.
Elish said at the meeting LEAD will present its 2009-10 activities as well as a number of business appreciation awards.
“APP will discuss its 2009-10 activities and the progress made to date concerning its Mobilize Aroostook (Maine) initiative. APP will also present the development opportunities identified through the Mobilize Aroostook (Maine) to enhance the County’s economy,” said Elish.
