PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – David Michael Donahue, 61, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at The Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Isle. He was born on March 27, 1956 in Calais, the son of Charles Bernard and Norma Maxine (Frost) Donahue.
Dave was a member of the Presque Isle Elks Lodge #1954 for 40 years and was an avid Eastern Maine Bowler. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, and spending time at Camp David with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marion (Allen) Donahue, brother, Charles and his wife Ida, daughters; Emily and Cara Donahue, Stepson; Michael Ireland II and his wife Allison and their children; Madison, Hailey and Michael III, his stepdaughter, Tai Ireland, nephews and nieces; James Donahue and his wife Sara, Joey, Riley and Lauren Donahue, Katherine and Michelle Boomer, Josh Allen, Mark John Allen II and his wife Megan, Brad Winger and his wife Tammy, Jay Winger and his wife Ana, a sister in law, Anne Donahue, brother in laws; Michael Allen and his wife Loris and Mark Allen and his wife Kelley. Great nephews Sam, Reid and Marcel. I think we got everybody we are not sure “IDunno”.
In addition to his parents, Dave is predeceased by his son, Ryan, and two brothers; Sam and Patrick.
A celebration of his life, conducted by the Elks, will be held 6 pm, Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Presque Isle Elks Lodge, 508 Main St, Presque Isle where a time of sharing memories and stories will be held after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made in Dave’s memory to Pine Tree Camp, 114 Pine Tree Camp Road, Rome, ME 04963 a place that was very special to him.
