    THE MARK AND EMILY TURNER MEMORIAL LIBRARY is actively promoting its summer reading program, “Make a Splash!” On June 30, they held a “Bubble Blast” presentation.

     Interim Children’s Librarian Dianna Leighton read “Bubble Trouble” to nearly 30 children; then Assistant Children’s Librarian Rick Asam demonstrated the different ways to create and make bubbles. The next presentation is scheduled for today at 11 a.m., which will feature dancers from MoonDance Studios.

    RICK ASAM, the assistant children’s librarian at the Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library in Presque Isle, showed nearly 30 children how to create bubbles and different objects that could be used to make bubbles, including simple household items.
