Rain forces two-day competition for kart series

CARIBOU, Maine — The Northern Maine Karting Association’s double feature at Spud Speedway was held in two parts due rain on Friday, July 21. The first half of the program was held that evening and the rest took place Saturday, July 22.

Results from Friday are as follows: Blacked Out Window Tint Kids Karts: first, Parker Bosse, Limestone; and second, Kayden Haines, Caribou.

Aroostook Trusses Junior Cage Karts: first, Hunter Bennett, Prospect; second, Gage Theriault, Limestone; and third, Bryan Searles, Presque Isle.

Aroostook Savings and Loan Senior Cage Karts: first, Damian Theriault, Caribou; second, Janet Bosse, Caribou; and third, Nate Haney, Caribou.

On Saturday in the Aroostook Trusses Junior Cage Karts division, in first was Searles and in second was Gage Theriault.

Aroostook Federal Savings and Loan Senior Cage Karts: first, Damian Theriault, Caribou; second, Jason Theriault, Caribou; and third, Bosse.

The series is back in action Friday, July 28. Racing starts at 6:30 pm. Grandstand admission is free and admission to the pit area is $10.
