CARIBOU, Maine — Students at Caribou and Presque Isle high schools interested in playing on the varsity golf team this fall are encouraged to attend an organizational meeting set for 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Caribou High School gymnasium.
The two schools are combining to form one team, which will be called “Carlisle,” and compete in the Maine Principals Association-sanctioned activity. Practices will alternate between Caribou Country Club and Presque Isle Country Club and begin later this month.
Marc Weeks, who served as the coach of the Caribou squad the past two seasons, will be the coach of the newly-formed Carlisle squad.
