PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Maine Better Transportation Association will host a meeting on Thursday, August 3 at the University of Maine at Presque Isle to highlight the Presque Isle bypass project.
Rhobe Moulton, Maine Department of Transportation senior project manager, will speak at 7 p.m. The event will take place at the Campus Center, with dinner at 6 p.m. followed by the presentation.
The $14 million, 1.5 mile Conant/Fort Road bypass project is underway and scheduled to open in 2018. VHB is the design firm for the project, and Edward Pelletier is the general contractor. A second phase of the three-phase, $120 million project will likely begin after 2020.
