CARIBOU, Maine — The multi-instrumentalist duo Sruli and Lisa, who headline at festivals around the world with their interactive mix of music, humor, and dance, will perform at the Caribou Public Library Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017.
The concert, which begins at 5 p.m., is free and open to all and will be held in the library’s Caribou Room. Known for their Jewish and American folk music, Sruli and Lisa play a multitude of instruments such as the violin, clarinet, accordion, drum, jaw harp, bass recorder, ukulele and banjo. They have performed live on National Public Radio, Polish National Television and Radio, were featured performers on PBS-TV’s “Another Mitzvah,” and performed the Klezmer soundtrack for the Showtime movie “The Devil’s Arithmetic.” They also have performed with Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary. New York Times has called them “warm, tuneful and sprightly.”
