Fair board delivered first-rate event

To the editor:
    Congratulations to the Northern Maine Fair Association for a fabulous Northern Maine Fair from July 30th to August 7th. There was a wide variety of events and activities for all to enjoy, a larger midway than in the past years and as always a pleasant environment in which to visit with friends as you strolled the grounds. 

    Special thanks go to the Association and the people they hired to keep the eating area and the washrooms clean throughout the fair. This was an added attention to detail that was appreciated by all. From the Presque Isle Area Chamber of Commerce, I know our patrons appreciated the eating area with clean tables to relax and enjoy their supper. Many volunteers spend entire days at the fair during the Northern Maine Fair and until this year did not have these facilities.
    As always the Northern Maine Fair brought groups from throughout Aroostook County together to enjoy our heritage, talents and friendships. Thank you to the Board of Directors of the Northern Maine Fair Association and the hundreds of volunteers who made this year a source of pride to the area.
