Volunteer work appreciated

To the editor:
    Those of us who live in and around Washburn owe a big “thank you” to a special guy in town. Gary Cole has been volunteering his time to beautify the Washburn town library. 

    Gary has planted beautiful flowers in the two window boxes at the front of the library. He has mulched all the shrubbery around the library. Gary has even taken the time to power wash all the outside walls of the building. They now gleam nice and white.
    I know that Gary loves gardening, his own home has lovely flowers and a bountiful garden. I think it is commendable that he has chosen to share these gardening skills in a way that benefits the community.
    I, personally, want to say, “Thanks Gary, for a job well done.”
