On Aug. 2, the weight group called The Happy Losers held their weekly meeting at the United Baptist Church vestry in Island Falls.
Jackie Pratt, the leader, opened the meeting and welcomed members, followed by the pledge and roll call.
Ten members weighed in and nine attended the meeting. Jan Greely was the loser of the week, and Dotty Rand was runner-up. Great job, ladies.
The secretary and treasurer gave their reports for the week.
The leader led the program for the week. Her topic was “The Power of Words.”
The meeting adjourned on time.
