Caribou golf tourney to benefit Pink Aroostook set for Aug. 26

CARIBOU, Maine — Cary Medical Center will host the fifth annual Pink Aroostook Scramble golf tournament at Caribou Country Club on Saturday, Aug. 26, beginning at 9 a.m. In the event of rain, the tourney will be moved to Sunday, Aug. 27.

All proceeds from the scramble will benefit Pink Aroostook, a breast health program designed for support, advocacy, education and awareness of breast health issues in Aroostook County. Pink Aroostook is funded by donations from individual and corporate donors and funds raised at this event will provide additional financial support county-wide for breast cancer survivors and advocacy initiatives.

The team registration fee is $100 and each participant must present a GHIN Handicap card. For participation, the minimum team handicap is 40.

Registered teams also can enter the Pink Aroostook Scramble Golf Cart Decorating Contest by simply decorating their golf carts for the event. The team with the winning golf cart will receive a $25 DOC gas card for each member of their four-person team.
