On Saturday morning, several classmates and spouses participated in the “Guided Walking Tour of Historic Downtown Presque Isle” provided free of charge by the Presque Isle Historical Society. Although many of the participants still reside here, all said they learned historic facts about Presque Isle of which they had previously been unaware. The tour was highly praised and enjoyed by the group.
On Saturday evening, a sit-down dinner of ham, turkey and all of the fixings was held at the Elks Club on Main Street. At 9 p.m., led by classmate Dave DeMerchant, 17 seconds of silence were observed in memory of the 17 classmates and class advisor who have passed away. This was followed by a ringing of the bell for the deceased classmates as each was named individually.
Plans are already under way for the 40th reunion to be held in July of 2015. Classmates interested in working on the Reunion Committee should contact Bruce Berube or Mike Cowett.
