BANGOR and PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Bangor- and Presque Isle-based financial services firm of Thompson-Hamel, LLC has announced Natalie Nadeau and Michael Marquis have recently earned professional designations that will allow them to provide added services.
Nadeau recently passed her Series 6 and Series 63 Registered Securities Representative exams, and combined with her Maine Life & Health insurance license, can offer a full array of mutual fund and annuity products, as well as life, disability income and long-term care insurances.
“We are very impressed with the initiative Natalie has demonstrated during her first six months with our firm,” said Brian Hamel, managing partner of Thompson-Hamel. “These licensing exams are challenging and her passing them in such a short timeframe demonstrates her knowledge level and her ability to professionally assist her clients.”
Nadeau is Hamel’s oldest daughter and is based out of Thompson-Hamel’s Bangor office. She came to the company with 11-plus years of retail and commercial banking experience in the Bangor area, with three years at Machias Savings Bank and the past eight-plus years at Camden National Bank, most recently as an assistant vice president of treasury management and government banking.
Marquis, a 2-year Husson University intern with Thompson-Hamel, recently passed his Maine Life & Health insurance licensing exam and can now offer life, disability income and long-term care insurances, as well as fixed and equity indexed annuities.
Marquis is currently preparing to take his Series 6 and Series 63 Registered Securities Representative licensing exams.
“It has been a pleasure to have Michael as a valued member of our Team as he continues with his higher education pursuits at Husson’s Northern Maine Community College (NMCC) campus,” Hamel said. “Michael has a bright future ahead of himself at Thompson-Hamel and it’s our honor to support him through this internship program.”
Marquis recently earned his associate’s degree in accounting through Northern Maine Community College’s partnership with Husson and is currently pursuing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees through Husson.
