After the excitement of the Club Championship last weekend, this has been a quiet week and a chance to recharge. Cooler weather seems to upon us now, and conditions really couldn’t be better. Big excitement arrives this coming weekend as our last major tournament, the Babe Caron Memorial member-guest, comes to the course.
The fun begins on Friday night as the social time starts at 5 p.m. We will feature our popular long drive contest followed by the approach shot contest. Both are open to the public to participate. Come out to the clubhouse Friday and support your favorite player. Saturdays tournament will be 50 percent handicap and Sunday will be 100 percent.
And speaking of Friday night, the Lakeside Restaurant will be serving delicious meals that night with entertainment by Paul LaPointe. Reservations are highly recommended this weekend. Call 694-9494 and tell Nancy hen you would like to eat. This traditional last weekend in summer is sure to be a sell out.
And don’t forget to sign up for the popular Cross Country par 3 tournament. It will be Sunday, Spet. 10, at 2 p.m. Four player teams with at least one player of the other gender are required for each team. Proceeds this year will go to the Houlton High School Project Grad 2017.
