WESTFIELD, Maine – Anita Marie Davis, 81, passed away, September 3, 2017 at the Aroostook Health Center, Mars Hill. She was born on June 12, 1936 in Medford, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Lewis and Daisy (Paine) McQuade.
She married the love of her life Bill on August 15, 1956. She enjoyed sewing, especially frilly dresses, working in her flower garden, scrap booking, cooking and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked several years at Converse, was a housekeeper for many good friends in the Presque Isle area, and managed and cooked many a great meals at the Mars Hill Country Club restaurant.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Davis of Westfield, daughter, Susan and her husband Ronald Bell of Mars Hill, son, Peter and Kathy Davis of Saco, grandchildren, Brandon Bell, Lacey Bouchard, Megan Davis and Nic Davis, great-grandchildren – Kasen Bell, Jensen Bell and Hadley Bouchard, her brother and sister, Hubert McQuade and Francis Smith of Canada.
In addition to her parents, Anita was predeceased by brothers; Herbert McQuade and Vernon McQuade of Canada and Alton McQuade from Mars Hill.
Friends may call 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Presque Isle, where a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Kevin Kinsey, officiating.
