A St. Agatha woman was injured just before midnight on Tuesday in a single vehicle crash in Woodland, according to the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office.
Stephanie Turner was traveling north on Route 161 in Woodland in her 2008 Jeep Liberty when she failed to negotiate a curve after the intersection of the Colby Siding Road, according to Deputy Chad Foley.
The vehicle went through the guardrail and was airborne for 45 to 50 feet before landing nose first into an embankment and rolling over, Foley reported.
Turner, who was alone, was transported to Cary Medical Center in Caribou with injuries that were not considered life threatening, according to the deputy.
Speed and weather appear to be contributing factors, but the crash remains under investigation.
