A 76-year-old Woodland woman reported missing early Sunday morning was found a little more than four hours later and taken to Cary Medical Center in Caribou for treatment of minor cuts, according to the Maine State Police.
Marilyn Cote had left her house on foot sometime during the morning and police were contacted when she didn’t return and couldn’t be located.
Troopers, game wardens and volunteers started a search of the area on foot, with ATVs an aircraft and a search dog, according to a press release issued by the Maine State Police.
Volunteer searchers found Cote at about 10:15 a.m. in a field off the Langley Roar. She had sustained some minor cuts from a fall while she was walking and was transported to Cary Medical Center by Caribou Ambulance for treatment, according to the release.
