Constituents back candidates
in final weeks of campaign
In choosing Alex Willette,
you can’t go wrong
To the editor:
After elections Augusta is always an interesting place. There are many news faces and some surprisingly have never been in a committee room or seen a bill go through the process and become a law. Class is given and the staff really puts in the hours to bring people up to speed. Luckily in Alex Willette no such “crash course” will be needed.
I have known Alex for many years now; we met while he attended UMF (University of Maine at Farmington) and have worked together on many issues. He was a great help in collecting signatures to help repeal the recent “tax reform” disaster. The people of District 7 should know he has already been hard at work to keep your taxes down and represent the interest of rural Maine. Just imagine the help he will be as your representative.
I have also spent countless hours in conversation with Alex and his father Rep. Mike Williette while in Augusta. Alex had followed many bills through their process and made many helpful suggestions. He is a great listener with his hand on the pulse of rural Maine. Seldom have I witnessed a young man so mature for his age. He is as prepared as anyone I know to begin work as a legislator.
So let’s see, he comes from a great family, works hard for the interest of rural Maine supports hunters and fishermen like myself, has a wonderful fiancé. What is there not to like, he is the total package. It makes me wish I could vote for him. So support Alex Willette you will not regret it.
