Racing season comes to close at Spud

    CARIBOU — Champions were crowned at Spud Speedway during the final weekend of September as the track held its season finale. The Spud 150 had to be rescheduled to Sept. 26 due to wet track conditions. Individual results from the two days of racing, along with the grand champion for each division, were: 

    US Army Young Guns —1, Brandon York, Fort Fairfield; 2, Connell McLean, Clearview, N.B.; 3, Emma Libby, Glenburn; 4, Adam Williams, Limestone; 5, Ryan Modery, Hermon. Champion — Adam Williams, Limestone
    Aroostook Trusses Northern Lights — 1, Travis Beale, Dover-Foxcroft; 2, Steve Levesque, Mars Hill; 3, Galen Morrow, Limestone; 4, Don Rideout, Caribou; and 5, Ken Cormier, Grand Isle. Champion — Jason A. Levesque, Caribou.
    Hogan Tire Street Stock — 1, Duane Dunifer, Hermon; 2, Shawn Hamel II, Bangor; 3, Shawn Racila, Dover-Foxcroft; 4, Dana York, Fort Fairfield; and 5, Bobby Anderson, Limestone. Champion — Dana York, Fort Fairfield.
    Coca Cola Super Street — 1, Kris Watson, Hermon; 2, Doug Sinclair, Hermon; 3, Jeff Willette, Presque Isle; 4, Mike Howlett, Easton; and 5, Mike Kinney, Danforth. Champion — Mike Howlett, Easton.
    Clukey’s Auto Supply Fast 4s — 1, Keith Thibeau, Fort Fairfield; 2, Rick Saucier, Wallagrass; 3, Matt Farnham, Mapleton; 4, Steve Heath, Dover-Foxcroft; and 5, Steve Theriault, Fort Kent. Champion — Connor Thibeau, Fort Fairfield.
    Maine Racing Alliance/Spud 150 — 1, Shawn Martin, Turner; 2, Andy Saunders, Ellsworth; 3, J.R. Robinson, Steuben; 4, Deane Smart, Bradley;  and 5, Josh St. Clair, Liberty.
    Other champions were: Quigley’s Building Supply LMS Champion — Tharren MacDougal, Fort Fairfield; and Maine Racing Alliance Champion — Josh St. Clair, Liberty.
    The track was also bustling with activity Sept. 18 as racers enjoyed a heavy slate of races. The following is a recap of the top finishers in each division.
