CARIBOU & PRESQUE ISLE – Paul C. Soucier, 60, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at a Bangor Hospital. He was born October 27, 1949, in Presque Isle, the son of Harold and Lillian (Theriault) Soucier.
    Paul grew up in Presque Isle and graduated from Presque Isle High School. He joined the U.S. Army for three years, serving in Germany. After his discharge Paul went to work at Loring Air Force Base.  After his retirement from civil service, he and his wife Bonnie owned and operated Aroostook Cleaners on Sweden Street in Caribou for twenty years.
    Paul was an avid fly fisherman and always enjoyed the many times he was able to go. He also enjoyed playing poker and he would often play at the American Legion Post #15 in Caribou at which he was also a member. Paul earned an associates degree in business from N.M.V.T.I. The most important thing in Paul’s life was his family. He loved spending time with them at family gatherings.
    He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (MacBurnie) Soucier of Caribou; two daughters: Angela Rand of Caribou, Jennifer McBreairty and her husband, Rancie of Woodland; three grandchildren: Brandon and Nathan Rand, and a soon-to-be-born granddaughter, who he was very excited to see born. He also leaves behind a brother, Ronald Soucier and his wife, Kathy of Winslow; five sisters: Phyllis Cassidy and her husband, Harry of Connec-ticut, Debbie Egan and her husband, Hayden of Brewer, Margaret LaPointe and her husband, Danny of Masardis, Sandra Pelkey and her husband, Carol of Presque Isle, Tammy Gary and her husband, Ricky of Presque Isle; as well as several nieces and nephews.
    Paul will be missed by all who knew him, especially Jim Libby and Harry McCall.
    In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Philip Soucier; and a sister, Carolyn Miller.
    Friends called 6-8 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2010, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Parish of the Precious Blood. A committal with military honors took place following the service at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. A reception was held following the committal at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
