ROGER WILSON, HODGDON – Roger Wilson, 64, passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 1, 2017 at Houlton Regional Hospital. He was born on December 1st, 1952 in Hodgdon to Waldo (Pert) Wilson and Patrea (Haney) Wilson.
Roger was a 1971 graduate of Hodgdon High School. He was drafted during Vietnam and stationed in Germany. Upon returning he began farming and spent much of his life working on the farm. He had a strong work ethic and was willing to help all who needed an extra hand. One of Roger’s favorite hobbies was camping and he was happy to be able to introduce this love to his grandchildren as well.
Roger is survived by his son, Ryan and his wife Amanda, his grandchildren, Ryder and Reese, all of Corinna; a special friend Barb Reid, eight brothers and sisters and their spouses, Pam and Herb Rhoda, Kenneth and Carol Wilson, Cindy Wilson, Wanda Cummings, Debbie and Ken Rosel, Reggie and Lauren Wilson, Lynn and Joel Oliver, Alan and Lisa Wilson; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Patrea Wilson; his father, Waldo (Pert) Wilson; one brother, Gary Wilson; and his special farm friends, Floyd and Maurice Oliver.
Family and friends are invited to call 1 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Dunn Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. with Lay Minister Regina Thibodeau officiating. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Hodgdon Cemetery directly after.
