The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) group’s meeting which was scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 28, has been changed to Thursday, Nov. 4. PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine at Presque Isle will host the premiere multi-cultural band Jabali Afrika on Oct. 27 in Wieden Auditorium. The event will consist of a workshop from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. where attendees will sit down with members of Jabali Afrika and talk more in depth about the group’s heritage, how the instruments are made and the meanings behind them. The main event will begin at 8 p.m. where Jabali Afrika will perform live. The group has also made appearances in Mr. Rogers’ neighborhood, “Good Morning America,” BET and MTV.
