Bridgewater to hold tag sale
to sell school items
BRIDGEWATER — The town of Bridgewater will hold a tag sale on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the former Bridgewater Grammar School, located at 11 School Street. The building is set for demolition in early November and the purpose of the sale is to clean out the remaining items within the building.
“We would like to see people have the opportunity to buy the items that are still in the building if they want,” said Wayne Bradbury, chairman of the Bridgewater Town Council, “so we’re planning to offer for sale everything that isn’t considered a fixture.” Bradbury went on to explain that the town recently put the demolition project out to bid and that the building and fixtures were offered to the bidders to reduce the bid price. When asked, Bradbury explained that fixtures are those items that are attached to the building, such as blackboards and flooring.
Items for sale include: a computer, teacher and student desks, computers and printers, an overhead projector, exercise equipment, file cabinets, along with a number of miscellaneous items.
