Our group met at the meeting room at the Island Falls Municipal Building on Thursday, Sept. 21. Our usual potluck lunch was well stocked with tasty casseroles, salads and desserts.
After our lunch, we were entertained by Rich Camire and his guitar. He opened with “Amazing Grace” which appears to be nearly everyone’s favorite. Camire then opened our business meeting in regular form. After a nearly unanimous vote for our destination for our fall outing, we decided on Gilmore’s Restaurant in Lincoln.
Camire brought to our attention Steve Farnham’s retirement and the locations of his farewell parties for anyone who would like to attend. At the conclusion of the meeting, we played Bingo with Louise Butcher as the big winner.
Members attending were Barney and Marci Coursey, Keith and Esther Harvey, Darrell and Sherry Hartin, David and Sheila Emery, Mary Pipes, Louise Butcher, Rich Camire, Ellie Peck, Jeanne Clements, Terry Dwyer, Dick Shean, Mary Lawler, Gloria Noyes, Edith Dwyer, Darlene Hartin and Deannie Smith.
In Lieu of our next meeting on Oct. 3, we will meet at the parking lot at the municipal building at 10:30 am for our semi-annual outing. All members are urged to attend.
